This is a first-rate fun game. We've all the time enjoyed this, and we've revised the rules for the toddlers to play. When we play with the toddlers, we naturally go in order of the scorecard (ex: our first roll is to get as many one's as possible, then we write the number on the scorecard).

Sometimes for a miniature variety, when playing with adults, we revise the rules again. We've taken one scorecard and played "blackout," where we end the entire scorecard and make it one game; we've played it the same as we play with the toddlers or young childred listed above; and we've played it the normal way.

Yahtzee has all the time been a great house game, and it does heighten math skills. Make your children add up their own dice and/or scores. Best of all, put away the calculators!! Enjoy!!
